This is power point presentation reflects on the European VETNET research community and its common status, theme profile, author orign and organisation. The author (actual Convenor of VETNET) describes the relationship between European research programmes and VETNET paper contributions to the annual ECER/ VETNET conference. This in order to give some concluding remarks on the actual challenges for the future of this network. VETNET is one of the largest reserach communities (ca 400 subsribed to the page) under the umbrella of the European Association of Educational Research (EERA) and its anual European Conference on Educational research (ECER). Next Conference will take place at the University of Geneve, from the 11-16. of September 2006.
