Improving The Utilization Of Quality Assurance Information In European (I)Vet
In the Leonardo da Vinci REVIMP project (From Review to Improvement) six European partners (Estonia, England, Denmark, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands) have studied the factors promoting the utilization of Quality Assurance data for improving European VET (initial health education). This has been done by testing a theoretical framework in 30 cases of IVET in these 6 countries.
Based on the results guidelines have been developed for Quality Assurance in European initial health education, which thereafter have been tested on relevance and feasibility. Both the factors that seem to matter for translating QA data into improvement actions, and the final version of the guidelines for quality assurance in initial health education will be presented.
Methodology or methods/research instruments or sources used:
Test of theoretical framework to find the factors that matter for the use of quality assurance data in 30 case studies; test of draft guidelines in 30 case studies.
Conclusions or expected outcomes or findings:
Several characteristics of Quality assurance systems, the implementation of these systems, and of the insitutions within which the systems are used prove to be related to the utilization of quality assurance data for school improvement. An important element of the project results are the 27guidelines for quality assurance that have been developed and tested in the project.
